The Youth Mock Parliament is a chance for young people to disciver and discuss international and national instruments related to human rights, health, and peace. This includes international human rights frameworks, including those relating to gender-based violence and sexual and reproductive health rights, and national policy and legislative frameworks such as the Adolescent Health Policy, National Youth Policy, and Women's Health Protection Bill.
Through this event, young people will learn about the national political process and the architecture of our parliamentary process, and they they will discuss and formulate advocacy agendas.
Thsi year, the event is being run in partnership with the National Youth Development Authority and United Nations Development Programme, with support from the European Union.
Appplications are welcome from vibrant young people who are:
- Between 15 and 29 years old
- Leading or part of youth initiatives, networks, and organisations focused on advocacy and awareness relating to issues affecting young people. This includes GBV, Youth Adolescent & Sexual Reproductive health, and Anti-Corruption Initiatives
- Young leaders with an interest in youth and adolescent sexual and reproductive health, the fight against GBV, and anti-corruption initiatives.
