UNFPA PNG is implementing a comprehensive data and population project that involves the provision of technical assistance to the 2024 National Population Census, data literacy, and the establishment of data platforms. Other dimensions of the program include preparation for the National Demographic and Health Survey and the Disability Data Project.  

Given the comprehensive nature of the population data project, the Chief Technical Adviser (CTA) will need the support of a motivated, Consultant with strong organizational and writing skills to help achieve the outputs envisaged in this project.

You will play an instrumental role in facilitating UNFPA’s country programme and project implementation, supporting design, planning and management, in the areas of population and development, reproductive health and gender.

You will apply established systems and procedures and assist in the creation of knowledge by compiling, synthesizing and analyzing relevant information, developing appropriate mechanisms and systems and ensuring compliance with procedures.
